From those diagnosed, to their families and friends, cancer affects the lives of millions of people every year. At Cancer Treatment Research Foundation (CTRF) we understand how devastating a cancer diagnosis can be, and also how important research advancements are to those affected. That is why we are dedicated to curing cancer through funding patient-centered clinical studies that deliver innovative treatment options to cancer patients.
You can donate online, by mail, or by phone, and at CTRF, 99 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to cancer research programs. Make a cancer donation today.
If you wish to donate to a cancer charity you may want to learn about specific studies CTRF donations are currently funding. They range from cutting-edge research into the role nutrition may play in inhibiting breast cancer to an exploration of the possibility that Noscapine, a cough suppressant used widely throughout Europe, may have significant anti-cancer properties when administered in high doses. Other studies include the following:
- Autologous Dendritic Cell Vaccines in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: Lung cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers in the United States. This study will evalute different lung cancer vaccines and is made possible by donations from people like you.
- Antioxidant Effects in the Treatment of Newly Diagnosed Ovarian Cancer When Added to First Line Chemotherapy: Ovarian cancer research affects nearly 40,000 each year; this study concerns the benefits of combining antioxidant therapy, including vitamins C, E, and others, with traditional chemotherapy when treating ovarian cancer.
- Chemoprevention of Prostate Cancer with Selenium Yeast: The results of this study, funded by cancer donations, demonstrate that selenium supplementation may play a role in the prevention of prostate cancer in healthy individuals.
As evidenced by these and other studies, your donations play an immediate role in groundbreaking research into the prevention and cure of devastating diseases such as lung, prostate and ovarian cancer. Charity donations to CTRF are applied directly toward our goal of funding research programs that bring results now, not 5 or 10 years down the road. Support CTRF, and donate to our cancer charity today.
Since 1991, CTRF has funded or is funding 63 grants totaling over 15 million dollars. Click here for a complete listing of our grants.
Donate to a Different Kind of Cancer Charity
CTRF is dedicated to funding patient-based research that includes not only the most innovative application of conventional therapies but also the best science-based complementary medicine designed to help provide an immediate impact on cancer patients today, not years down the road. In addition, because CTRF only funds research (not outreach, education, etc.) that has passed the test tube stage, and that does not include the use of laboratory animals, you can be assured that your donation will have an immediate impact on cancer patients.
